Our training course “Confident Youth” from the 24th till the 30th of November in Schierke focuses on improving the participant`s knowledge in regard to the psychosocial health and well being of young people, thus we will promote the topmost goal of mobility schemes: the quality development in youth work and Erasmus+ projects. The topical focus of the specialists training orientates towards the Youth Goals. We will intensely deal with the 5th Youth Goal “Psychic health and well being”. In the workshops, practical elements, lectures and the future search we are going to work up how to enhance the well being of young people in Europe, how stigmatization of mental disorders could be prevented and how social inclusion could be fostered. Besides the transfer of knowledge, it is important to us that the participants are taking part actively and develop projects that they implement in their respective countries and organizations. Thereby we would like to counter the current trend that more and more young people are faced with stress, anxiety, depression and other mental disorders. The topic “psychic health and well being” is especially important since health impairments reduce opportunities to participate in the job market and therefore increase the risk of (permanent) economical and social exclusion. Psychic anomalies in kids and adolescents are not only a burden on the affected, they also put a strain on the family and the social environment and have a high public-health-relevance.
