The Youth Exchange YEA! is based on three pillars Youth-Europe-Art! This results in the following goals: YEA! aims to enable young people to develop their skills and competences in a variety of areas by actively participating the activity. These include, for example - Organization, moderating, presentation skills e.g. through joint workshops with artists. - Promoting multilingualism and the ability to communicate in everyday life, e.g. through workshops on language animation, linguistic preparation for the youth exchanges. - To promote media competence of young people, e.g. by taking over the filming during the youth exchange or leading a blog. - Practical skills in the field of art through participation in the workshops. - Expression possibilities, opportunities for young people to reflect through creative methods. Europe - Encourage young people to embrace the idea of a common Europe by enabling them to meet young people of the same age from different countries and to exchange views on Europe. - Promote active citizenship by creating, developing and implementing a project and informing about EU projects. - Through active participation and involvement of young people in the planning, organization and implementation of the project, the young people should experience how democratic processes of interaction function and learn. - Motivate young people to reflect questions such as advantages and disadvantages of being European, the importance of diversity for Europe or the importance of borders, in order to strengthen their European awareness. - Strengthen the image of Europe in the eyes of young people and local community. YEA! should enable the organizations involved in the project - To try out new innovative methods of cultural education developed by young artists and educators to communicate European values, human rights, identity, freedom. Our organizations should be provided with new tools to work with these topics. - Enable young people with different social and economic backgrounds (from middle school students up to high school students) to participate in an international youth meeting. - Strengthen the international partner network in order to carry out further activities together in the future - A professional development of our organizations as experts on Europe and youth, as well as in the field of international youth work.
