The project 'Sport Activities to Foster Entrepreneurship' (SAFE) was a project that comprised of two activities that would, over the duration of the project implementation extend support to the target group of youth in using sports as a vitalising factor towards entrepreneurial activities. The first of these activities was a Training course that was held in November 2019 and the second was a blended youth exchange event held in June 2022. The initial duration of the project was envisaged to be 12 months, but due to the onset of the pandemic, got extended to 36 months and radically altered the entire implementation timeline. Our objective was to impact youth from Europe and the Mediterranean, i.e., individuals from Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Tunisia besides the European programme countries. Due to the pandemic and the existing regulatory bureaucracy, unfortunately, the participants from outside the Schengen zone were unable, for the major part, to travel to the host venue of the youth exchange or had their visés rejected. Hence, the participation was lesser than anticipated in the project application, though some were able to attend online. Our aim was to create two outputs, one from each activity respectively, the SAFE Guidebook (Developing Entrepreneurship through Sport) and the SAFE Brochure (Participating through Sport), in November 2019 and in June 2022. The activities were held physically and NFE tools were used to impart various techniques and skills to the participants. The other items that were dealt with included training participants to employ useful instruments and knowledge to promote youth inclusion through sport, developing innovative activities that cultivate entrepreneurial spirit and skills through sport and fostering participants' understanding about the role of sport in promoting personal development of youngsters in an entrepreneurial perspective.
