The international youth exchange "Faces of Europe" will bring together 35 young people from five different countries - Georgia, Portugal, Serbia, Czech Republic, and Germany - and will give them the opportunity to get in touch and to meet at eye level. The participants will be involved in all steps of the project planning and will organize the exchange as independently as possible. By this, they will experience their self-efficacy, will increase their organizational, entrepreneurial, but also foreign-language and intercultural competencies. Through a peer learning process, they are supported in designing the exchange according to their wishes and needs and in contributing their own contents. The young people will discuss their own identities and backgrounds and the meaning of clichés attributed to them (as students, residents of a country, young people, Europeans...). Through activating and thought-stimulating methods they will be supported to reflect on and recognize what they want for themselves and for the groups they (feel they) belong to, as well as what connects them with young people from completely different regions and cultures. To make these (self-)experiences visible and to deal with them creatively, the young people will participate in various workshops (e.g. photography, film). The participants will take up their experiences during the youth exchange and present the results of the workshops at the end of the eleven days.
