“City Bound Europe - Implementing European Strategy Through Adventure Based Learning” is a continuation of the “City Bound Europe” – the project our organisation is developing since 2011. City Bound Europe consolidated a solid network of partners from 7 countries who aimed to bring the idea of Europe closer to young people by implementing variety of activities for youngsters in the age of 14-17 with the methodology of adventure-based learning. This project aims to finish the process of formalization of the Network and further develop our workflows, staff members and pool of youth leaders. General aims of the Network are: - To build confidence in the idea of “United Europe” among young people and help them to understand the concept of Europe based on tolerance, inclusion and understanding and preventing radicalization of young people, by creating an opportunity for building opinions based on personal experience and face to face contact. - To provide a space for personal growth of young people from all over Europe and support them in the transition from childhood to adulthood by developing their social and civic competences and preparing them to live in intercultural society. - To rise creativity of participants and support them to discover their full potential by providing innovative non-formal education opportunities especially focused on adventure-based learning methodology. - To promote and further-develop the methodology of adventure based learning in order to rise recognition of it outcomes on personal, social and institutional level. The variety of activities the Network implements and a new challenges appearing in Europe requires us to further develop our structures, raise the quality and range of activities offered, as well as set new objectives and develop new tools for innovations or adaptations of the methodology. The project will focus on collecting all previous developments of the Network and consolidating them into two complex publications – detailed guide for youth leaders and publication “Building Europe Through an Adventure” which will promote our methodology to the wider audience. The umbrella-project will consist of 2 trainings for youth leaders (basic and advanced), for national coordinators, youth policy seminar for youth leaders and networking meeting, which will be an evaluation of current activities and planning of future actions. All those activities aim at setting further development of the network, redesigning structure of the Network and creating international board and rotating coordination process, raising the quality and range of activities offered, as well as setting new objectives, new tools, deciding on new fields, on innovations or adaptations of the methodology. At the end of this project we evaluate, assess those developments and make decisions for the future.
