During this “Make art, not walls” project, young participants from 11 NGOs came together in two youth exchanges in which they got a bigger picture of the topic and terms like radicalization, discrimination, racism, nationalism, xenophobia, homophobia, only through sharing their own experiences and thoughts with putting themselves in a different perspective using theater methods and photographic content. By implementing this project with young people, who were all in the age between 17 and 26 we wanted to give them a voice and the opportunity to explore the different dimensions. They did interact with each other and discover our realities from their own. They interacted with local people and understood the differences and similarities between people from different cultures. We have the impression that with this exchange many young people are able to understand the different stages of exclusion, discrimination, that can cause people to become radical, and having an idea and motivation on how to prevent it.
