Objectives

In the project "Europe, can it be that you don't notice me?" we are looking for answers to the following questions: "Which meaning does Europe have in my life?" and "What can be my role in Europe?". The young people are interviewed as experts on their own behalf and develop their own research questions on the topic. We search for traces and influences of european institutions and decisions and other democratic processes in everyday life of the participants. Also we will ask which positive impact participation has on their own lives. The participants are hindered by economic hurdles, cultural discrimination or educational disadvantage. So they get the chance to develop their self-efficacy in the youth exchange. We like to build a bridge between communication gaps in intercultural situations. We encourage young people to use and develop their communication skills and social compentences. They experience self-efficacy in situations while they express their interests and opinions. We encourage an exchange of experiences with European Union and Democracy in their own lives. We encourage an intercultural exchange about different perspectives of opportunities and challenges of an European Democracy. We involve young people in programming of the youth exchange. We will present the results of the workshops in a final event and through a photo and video documentation. We will develop the relationship between the partners and the cooperation between the Partner City (Aubervilliers and Jena).
