Current situation in Europe gives many answers to question why this TC. Lot of events in connection to Islam shows how big are the gap of understanding, how it's easy to destroy the peace and create massive events that disturb societies and contribute to build barriers. In Europe different religions and cultures co-exist together but that doesn't mean that they understand each other. Europe is plural and multi-cultural continent. There is reach variety of nationalities, ethnicities, languages, cultures and religions. Recently the boundaries between cultures, nationalities sand religions have become more blurred as a result of increased migration. With so many different people living side by side the possibility of tensions and conflict are increased. The experiences of young people from different religious communities living next door to each other and yet so far away from each other’s worlds unfortunately aren’t uncommon. In our opinion it is lack of education, experience on personal level, space, where those groups could meet together. Formal education system often fails to provide diverse religious education for the issues relevant to young people, where the youth organisations, which are using non- formal education in their activities, can fill in this gap. Taking into account the described context the proposed training course " Interfaith dialogue and youth work" will therefore gather youth workers dealing with or interested in interreligious dialogue activities to further investigate concepts of interfaith dialogue and to raise their capacities in realizing projects for young people in this thematic field. When dealing with a highly sensitive topic, as interfaith dialogue, especially with young people involved, tools to use for this are very limited. Lack of educational methods and concrete tools is a clear sign how much interreligious dialogue is an somewhat avoided topic, but we are all aware how much is needed for ultimately achieving peace. Taking into account the described context the proposed training course " Interfaith dialogue and youth work" will therefore gather youth workers dealing with or interested in interreligious dialogue activities to further investigate concepts of interfaith dialogue and to raise their capacities in realizing projects for young people in this thematic field.
