Objectives

We want to achieve the following with the project "LYTC": _ develop a common definition and quality criteria, which constitutes (successful) participation in international youth work; _ develop approaches to how we deal with the fact that many of the young people to whom our project/participatory projects address have so far had little experience in formulating, expressing and enforcing their own wishes; _a self-reflection, how participatory we work as organisations within our structures and what limits are set by that to participatory youth projects; _analyze the differences in youth welfare and youth work structures in our country and in the countries of the partner organisations, and develop ways in which we can work well and efficiently despite these differences (or precisely because of them); dealing with the question of which influence these structures have on the design of participatory international youth projects; _ develop ideas on how to train our coaches/teamer or how to use the skills in participatory work that they may already bring with them; _collect ideas on how we can transfer our successful project "wir weit weg" into other contexts and thereby meet the demand of participation of all parties (participants, organisations and providers of youth welfare/youth work, school staff, etc.); _develop new joint international and participatory youth projects; launch a Strategic Partnership and apply for Erasmus + LA2. Along with the goals goes the further qualification of all participants: concerning the topic and methods of participation; on structures in child and youth services in the different countries; to democratic consensus in groups; to coach/teamer training; to the goals of Erasmus + YOUTH IN ACTION. In the medium term, we want our international youth exchanges and those of our partner organisations to be more participative, more focused on the interests of young people, and involve young people in the development of such projects. By reconciling the different youth welfare structures, we wish to gain a greater understanding of each other's practices and to improve our workflow in the development and implementation of international encounter projects.
