Objectives

International youth work plays an equal role in socialisation and education of young people together with the family, school and educational institutions. The youth exchanges are based on the interests of the young people, are co-determined and shaped by them. The youth exchanges empower self-determination and strengthen personal responsibility. These objectives of international youth work have already been recognized by CHANCE International and Jugendamt Steglitz-Zehlendorf and in this way they want to contribute to the personality developement, promotion of democracy and social learning of young people by using methods of non-formal education. Within the Key Action 1, we plan to hold the seminar "Future Lab: Go non formal" with 20 experts from international youth work from Hungary, Israel, Ukraine and Germany. The seminar will take place from 11.06.2016 to 15.06.2019 in Berlin Steglitz-Zehlendorf. The seminar will provide an opportunity to be engaged in developement of the future youth work between partner organizations, concidering goals and needs of each partner, to equip professionals with the methods of non-formal education, to inform about the objectives and strategies of the Erasmus + program and to plan and develop new projects, involving the participation of marginalized youth. During the seminar we would like to achieve the following goals: - comprehensive discussion aboutt non-formal education, international youth exchanges, youth strategy of the European Union (2019-2027), objectives and eligibility criteria of the ERASMUS + program; - sharing the personal, professional and intercultural skills of professionals, a broader understanding of social, cultural and linguistic diversity; - sharing the expertise of international youth work with a focus on marginalized young people, refugees and migrants; - introducing the Design Thinking method for the development of innovative project ideas; - development of guidelines and arrangements for youth exchanges; - intensive networking between the participating organizations, planning and development of innovative youth exchanges The purpose of the seminar is to establish a solid framework for community, exchange and cooperation in order to promote and develop a continuous youth exchange in the district of Steglitz - Zehlendorf in order to contribute to tolerance and peace, to prevent discriminatory and racist attitudes, and to increase the awareness of divercity and peacefull community life in the migration society. It is important to us that our future youth and professional projects are based on common values and that we pursue congruent international youth work goals with our projects: - intensive work with marginalized young people, their motivation, commitment strengthening and initiative promotion; - development of international youth exchanges on issues relevant to youth and society (for example, sustainable and healthy Europe, democratic migration society, opportunities for participation of young people); - active use and dissemination of non-formal education methods and other innovative methods of project development; - active networking for building and developing youth exchanges . In summary, during the seminar we will deal with: 1) the quality improvement and further development of the international youth work of existing partnerships (Germany - Hungary, Germany - Israel) and the establishment of the new partnership (Germany - Ukraine) 2) the development of common objectives and guidance for the implementation of international youth exchanges 3) networking between the partner organizations and fostering the developement of future cooperation
