We want to create international networks, through which we have the opportunity for knowledge sharing and sparring, which can develope into future cooperations, e.g. through KA2 projects. We wish to upgrade professional knowledge and methods for our teaching staff, especially two subject areas with the aim of continuing to be able to deliver exciting, relevant and up-to-date teaching. Gain basic knowledge and insight into the Finnish school system, with a view to ideas, possible changes and initiatives for the way we run our school. Through the German course, we want to get new ideas for a more playful and communicative approach to teaching, so that the students can use the language actively. We want to have a German teacher network in Europe, through which students can communicate with other students with German as a second language. We want to gain a greater insight into how mindfulness can be implemented in teaching, as well as for our own development as teachers. What effects can it have in relation to the students when we include a mindful approach. We want to get inspiration for new brainbreaks, and include more movement and creativity in the teaching. We also hoped to get inspiration from other European colleagues.
We are a small single-track private school from 0. - 9. grade in a small urban community. We wish to be at the forefront of teaching by, offering our students new and exciting teaching. We wish to expand our international profile, create networks and expand our competencies. Through training and teaching and observing others, we want to put our own values, methods and competencies into perspective. Are we doing the right thing or can we change in some areas, to make our school even better. We wish to develope and ensure that our teachers, through training and teaching, have the skills and knowledge to continue to develop our school. We have a strong focus on the fact that we include many different elements in the teaching and that the subjects reflect our daily lives, the society we live in and not least prepare them for the life they will encounter in their further journey into adulthood. Through this project, we also want to strengthen our international profile even more and have previously participated in another KA1 project and also have an ongoing KA2 project. With this, we want to create a network around Europe, with a view to professional sparring and development of the school's staff and profile.
