The objective of this project was the possibility for our language teachers, teachers at the English line in subjects like Marketing, Business Economics and International Economics and for our administrative staff to stay in a country in Europe where the language they want to train is spoken, enhance their proficiency and expand vocabulary in the language needed. Another objective was also to have the possibility to get inspiration for new themes in the classroom, and new ideas for didactic training and pedagody, new internet tools and train fluency and language proficiency.
At Koege Business College(Køge Handelsskole) we applied for language courses for three categories of teachers and administrative staff, as we prior to the application had received many inquries about language training from both economic and marketing teachers from the English study line we have at the upper secondary department, HHx, and from language teachers, administrative staff at the VET department and upper secondary education in Business. All three groups specified that the focus should be on training relevant vocabulary within topics in Marketing, Business Economics and International Economics in English. For the teachers of English, Spanish, French and German the focus was on brush up of language proficieny, history, literature, culture and material for the language classes. For the administrative staff, the focus was also vocabulary training within certain themes but with more focus on proficiency, fluency, basic grammar training for administrative staff and latest internet tools with a pedagogical and didactic purpose for all teachers and staff.
