Objectives

The aim of this project was to establish an exchange of information and experience with other European schools, concerning the development of motivating digital courses within the science subjects with special attention given to experiments, that could be carried out by the individual student at home or by digital presence. At KVUC we facilitate a group of students who face difficulties being present during the experimental lessons. The vantage point of the project was also a focus on The Sustainability Goals and a more general exchange of experience concerning the organization and development of online education and, in the long term the aim was to produce educational materials in collaboration with organizations in Europe.

Background

KVUC aimed at the development of digital learning materials, due to the flexibility it offers the students. Furthermore, digital learning gives a new target group access to education, thereby increasing the completion rate. In addition, In Denmark there was a political wish to digitize part of GSK and HF. KVUC had considerable experience of the development of digital learning materials, and we wished to draw inspiration from other educational institutions in Europe, that had the same level of experience and that engaged in international issues in a European context. Especially within the natural sciences with a focus on sustainability.
