In 2015 the United nations declared which problems of the world was the most important for our society. This came down to the 17 global goals. This Youth Exchange addresses goal 13: ‘Climate action - take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts’. We are in a critical time, where individuals need to reconsider materialistic lifestyle choices, which is what the youth exchange will be addressing. The young generation does not fear war the most as our parents and grandparents. They fear that the earth will succumb to climate changes, a surrender they or their children will likely be witness to if the course doesn’t change within the next few years. We want to take a step in the direction of change by making participants passionate about fighting climate change, as well as ambassadors in the matter. To spread awareness through both formal and informal education. We want to give an opportunity for participants to exchange knowledge on climate approaches through debates and panel discussion. At last, we want to restore participants fascination and value in nature as means to diminish the value of materialistic needs which ultimately contributes to climate changes.
