The idea of the project was developed during a workshop at another exchange “Future2Learn” in Lithuania in July 2017. The participants of this project made suggestions and description for future topics, and during five walk and talks the participants rated the suggestions with points 1-5. The topic with the highest score was “Self-love”. The participants expressed the importance to work with and discuss the topic of self compassion, feeling good about yourself and knowing about yourself. Especially with all the social medias constantly showing how you should be, look, act, etc. The theme of the exchange is self-compassion and concerns issues such as identity, ideals and self worth. In a world that is seemingly more interested in your recent likes on social media, it can be difficult to accept oneself, when having to live up to one or several ideals. This exchange seeks to break with this way of thinking by addressing the issues of mental and physical health through empowerment of the youth.
