Our partner consortium has witnessed a skill shortage in the field youth worker. Neither the staff at NGOs nor the young people, that they work with, know how to craft professional looking videos. Even though the skills required to do so are actually quite simple to learn, there are misconceptions that you need professional equipment or a high level of expertise to make impressive films and video pieces. By passing necessary knowledge and skill onto youth workers from across Europe we believe that they will use it to create promotional videos for their NGOs and start to use video as tool in their daily activities with the young people. The main purpose of this project: “To improve youth work by developing the video-production and promotional competencies of youth/social workers.” To reach this purpose, we set the following objectives: 1.To improve youth worker's knowledge on how to create a story, deliver a clear message online, copyrights, and basics of video-production. 2.To improve youth worker's skills on video-production, editing and publishing videos online. 3.To improve youth worker's confidence in digital competencies and increased their usage in daily work. Through this project apart from the creating promotional videos for Denmark-based NGOs, we would like that participating youth workers will start to use video production in their daily activities (for teaching and learning, etc.) with the young people.
