Objectives

Tell Me About You is a three phase project (intro training, local field work, sum up training) that was created to equip youth workers with a very practical method of digital storytelling and to provide them with long term support in order to make sure they learn it properly and are able to act as multipliers in their local communities. The specific needs we want to address are as follows: - getting to know new, innovative methodologies that help youth workers address the specific needs of young people at risk of discrimination - exploring the potential of digital methods for empowering young people to become effective change makers in their local communities and beyond - promoting skills based on technologies to prevent digital exclusion of people at risk - youth workers' need for receiving more structured support in implementing new methods in local context and being able to solve the challenges that might occur The objectives of the project are as follows: - to increase the youth workers' and partner organizations' professional capacities by equipping them with practical, accessible, and innovative method of digital storytelling - to empower young people to raise their voice and become change makers - to dismantle stereotypes concerning young people at risk (minority members, people from disadvantaged areas) by giving them a chance to present their part of the story (reversing the single story narrative) - to create educational materials that can contribute to the promotion of digital methods and help two target groups: youth workres (by equipping them with manual on troubleshooting) and other stakeholders (who can become more open to innovation and cross-sectoral cooperation by getting access to videos and other materials explaining digital storytelling) - to create educational outputs that aim at promoting digital storytelling as a way of empowering young people at risk - to build a network of partners who are ready to work togehter to prevent discrimination and build more inclusive Europe using digital means of expression
