We want to give our HHX and EUX students an incentive to make even more out of their language learning in everyday life and give them realistic, hands-on experiences that they can build on top of language learning at school. It is also a goal of the project to get more HHX and EUX students to choose OPU (Trainee ship aboard) after completing their education at Campus Vejle.
At Campus Vejle, we offer all our students a number of international opportunities, and one of the opportunities for our HHX and EUX students is an international language school and internship in one of the language areas they learn with us (English, German and Spanish). Until the end of the 2021/2022 school year, we also offered French as a second foreign language, and therefore we also had an offer of language school and internships in the French-speaking area for these students. With this opportunity, we want to give the students as practical an experience as possible in relation to using their foreign language. We consider that it is only by meeting with the culture of the foreign language that they really acquire the intercultural competences that they will use in their further educational path and working life. With the project, Campus Vejle also wants to create more focus on international competences in the staff by collaborating with foreign partners around various professional topics and using funds for job shadowing.
