The project's goals apply to both students and teachers. For the students, we worked on a practice based in Vygotsky's zone of proximal development, so that the individual student's goals have been differentiated and the project's framework has helped to scaffold this development. The goal for students and teachers has been: - That students developed their professional, intercultural, and personal skills in such a way that they are better placed to be part of a globalized labor and education market in the future. - The students became familiar with and gained an understanding of the requirements for the individual worker in a globalized labor market. - That the students were able to contribute new and innovative approaches to subjects taught at AATG upon returning home. - That the teachers developed their knowledge and pedagogical approach within their own subject through observation and participation in internships at companies and job shadowing, - That the teachers developed their own knowledge and understanding of what is required of students in a globalized labor market. - That the teachers have contributed with new and innovative approaches to the subjects and professional study environments when they return home
The project is part of the high school's international strategy and ERASMUS plan. We now hold an accreditation. We work on the assumption that international cooperation will enrich the entire institution. This KA1 project supports the vocational profile at the upper secondary school and emphasizes the connection to the labor market and business life in our daily teaching. The purpose of the mobility project has been to strengthen the cultural and language skills in a professional framework among students and high school teachers at Aalborg technical high school. The background has therefore been a strategic decision to use KA1 for the development of the work-based competences that high school students must acquire in their three years of HTX education. The project has played an important part of AATG's strategy for interaction with companies and the world around us. Practical experience and knowledge of the industry is a fundamental and important part of the HTX education and by organizing the education as international internships, the project has contributed to the education becoming more attractive and relevant for young people.
