The aim was to improve the implementation of the renewed learning approach at Surju School. For those needing improvement, the areas were developing critical thinking and information analysis skills, digital competencies and the English language improving skills, developing creativity, and supporting integrated learning. It is very important to offer a good level of foreign language learning and develop the digital competences of all students so that students can also become competitive in a small rural school. English language learning starts in Surju school from the 1st grade. Therefore, the teacher constantly develops and improves his skills to be aware of everything new and adapt to changes with demands. One of the goals of the Surju school is to raise students' environmental awareness and to make better use of its natural environment to carry out learning activities. The use of outdoor learning facilities needs to be enhanced; for this purpose, it is necessary to prepare teachers. Teachers want to keep abreast of the latest developments in the educational landscape. Participating in the project provides a good opportunity to become aware of European values and teamwork through learning to analyze global and local problems and their possible solutions.
Surju School submitted this project because, according to the school's development plan, we wanted to create the best opportunities for the development of each staff member and enable employees to participate in the lifelong learning process. One of our main areas of activity is expanding teachers' opportunities for self-improvement and, through this, shaping the school into an innovative learning organization. The school needed to develop staff and increase employee motivation through additional training. It was essential to support the development of employees who participated in various projects. The school teaches English, mathematics and digital skills in depth. Students learn English from the 1st grade; therefore, the excellent language skills of English language teachers, increased motivation and modernizing the methodology are essential. One of the crucial goals in improving the development environment is completing outdoor learning facilities. In this regard, there was a need to train teachers to use different methods and opportunities of outdoor education more and more effectively than before. Developing creativity, critical thinking, cooperation skills, and digital competencies are essential when discussing future education.
