The initially chosen courses had to support two main goals: A) creating a system for a more extensive support for students’ individual development and B) expanding the practicality of studies. However, life, specifically COVID-19 pandemic, made its own corrections and the initial plans did not fulfil completely in the desired amount.
Our staff’s professional development has always been a priority in Hugo Treffner Gymnasium, and if we want our students to be able to compete in international context, then our teachers have to be able to do that too. Good courses are also on offer in Estonia, but only in participating in international courses is it possible to practice language competences and get familiar with other countries’ experience next to professional knowledge. Furthermore, we wanted to encourage our teachers to participate in online networks, so the impact would not be one-time.
