By implementing the Erasmus+ Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals project "Effective teaching, happier child", the teachers of Tallinn Rõõmupesa Kindergarten wanted to contribute to the fulfillment of the goals of improving three important areas of the kindergarten development plan: educational activities, personnel management, and leadership & management. As a result of the project, we accomplished the achievement of three goals, all due to the development plan of the kindergarten: 1) The competence of the Tallinn Rõõmupesa Kindergarten staff to implement the changed learning approach has increased, cooperative learning and value-based cooperation in staff development and educational activities have been supported. 2) The professionalism and competence of teachers in supporting the development of children with special educational needs has increased, and each child’s development has been supported in Tallinn Rõõmupesa Kindergarten. 3) Teachers have acquired new knowledge and skills to use the possibilities of information technology in the preparation and implementation of teaching work in the form of using multimedia.
In implementing the goals of the Tallinn Rõõmupesa Kindergarten development plan, we saw a good supporting opportunity in Erasmus+ mobilities and participation in International training courses with other European teachers, to become familiar with good practices and learn from them by means of participation in international courses. Thus, we included in our development plan the use of Erasmus+ program opportunities in the form of both writing a project application and teachers' participation in these projects to realize the kindergarten’s needs.
