The aim of Gustav Adolf Grammar School's project "A New Building, New Opportunities" was, through experiences of learning mobility, to become familiar with new trends in European education and, through training sessions, empower teachers to devise an improved elementary school curriculum, create innovative study material and make use of modern methodology and ways of learning in everyday work.
Gustav Adolf Grammar School has undergone notable changes in recent years. We have accepted the challenge of growth in the next decade, in terms of both, the number of students and employees. This challenge has brought about a huge new development for Gustav Adolf Grammar School - the school acquired a new and innovative elementary school building, one of the most modern school houses in Tallinn. This change gave the school an opportunity to dream at a large scale, involve teachers in the process of devising an improved elementary school curriculum, the focus of which is the modern understanding of education that would enable us to make the best use of our modern facilities. In the process of modernisation we wanted to learn from our European partners and experience the best practices of modern education, which we could consequently employ in the interests of the new school curriculum.
