- to improve the performance of students that we identified as having a reduced interest due to learning, social and cultural difficulties. - to promote active participation of above students in group and cultural activities and in representing the school (student councils, competitions, etc.). - to prevent them from dropping out of their studies at high school. - to enhance professional and personal development of teachers and to establish a dynamic team of teachers who can continue to support the European profile of the school in the future. - to develop a school culture with a European aura, leading to the extroversion of our school.
Our school is located in a rural area near Larissa and our students come mainly from rural or migrant families with relatively low incomes. Approximately, 5% of our 250 students have learning disabilities certified by the CEDASY. There are also 30 students from other countries attending. The teaching staff consists of 25 teachers of different specialties and different educational service and training even in European projectss who stated that they need support and training. We believe that a key factor for a social school is the continuous education and training of teachers in pedagogy, inclusion, learning and motivation. A school with a European profile and culture helps teachers in their professional development and students in achieving their goals. We implemented this project because we wanted our school to be attractive, to accommodate all students and to be a joy and a creation for all teachers. A school for all students, all teachers , and the active input and support of parents and the community.
