Objectives

The main goal that was initially set by our school unit was the acquaintance and the adoption of modern teaching methods that will allow the introduction of educational innovations. A realistic goal that met the needs of our school teachers. Modern technological tools are versatile tools that enhance experiential learning and facilitate individual learning. The Internet serves for the best and most direct communication between learners and educators and between the students themselves and plays an important role in achieving cognitive and metacognitive goals. The existence of ICT in teaching "cancels" some traditional teaching methods as it offers new possibilities. The use of ICT is, in other words, educationally incompatible with the most traditional teaching methods. Conversely, the existence and use of ICT in modern teaching methods is extremely beneficial and profitable for the learner. With the implementation of the plan we wanted to expand the knowledge of the staff of our school unit, so that we can become more functional and more flexible in the new requirements but also in the new data that are formed in education.

Background

We live in an age where everything around us is changing. We all realize that this has to do with the rapid pace of technology and new discoveries and inventions. The consequence of all this is a change in the way people think and act. All areas of life are affected by this spirit of change. Education is a living space that is constantly changing and needs improvement, adaptation and integration in the educational process of innovative and more attractive pedagogical methods. The use of technology and the Internet in education has facilitated many educational processes and introduced new perspectives in the teaching of all learning objects. However, it has also raised concerns about how to integrate them into the learning process, as well as the criteria for choosing the technology we will use and when, if we use the Internet, what services it is and what is the safest way to do it. This was the main reason why our school, wanting to follow the developments and apply innovative methods, decided to apply for a staff training project.
