The project’s general aim was to enhance the modernization and the internationalization of our school via its staff training. The mobility projects involved the following targets: knowledge acquisition, skills improvement, linguistic skills improvement, intercultural contact and development of European identity, and development/creation of a teachers’ network for future partnership. We particularly emphasized introducing teaching approaches focused on creativity and innovation through ICT. The two teachers who participated in the training have been active for 29 years in education, are experienced enough in European and innovative programs, are proficient English speakers, are ICT training certification holders of level 2 and are interested in broadening their perspectives, interacting in the European context and disseminating this experience to a local and national level.
Our project, entitled: “In a digital world, a digital kindergarten. The challenge of creativity and innovation through ICT in the classroom” emerged through the evaluation of our school’s needs in combination with the interests and professional profile of participants. It was focused on promoting digital literacy in education and safe usage of digital media and tools while cooperative learning and creativity were the outcomes of good teaching methods.
