Objectives

For this reason, the nature of the program aims at the one hand to train its leaders, who will be a kind of communicators of the main axes of our objectives, and on the other hand to enrich the knowledge and skills of teachers on the general developments at European level. They will also improve the social and personal areas they affect. To this end, the action plan will be developed along two axes and its effects will be multi-level: - Upgrading of administrative functions for better management, quality, and evaluation; and - interculturalism, showing interest in new conditions and social changes, especially in the integration of refugees.

Background

The 1st Primary School of Alexandria has set as its central priority the European project "Diversity managing, diversifying management". The idea was born out of the needs of the school itself and its teachers to break out of its traditional role. Having a firmly European orientation, it has to redefine the concept of school education and culture. Our school is a living organization that constantly strives to upgrade educational methodologies and management strategies, introduce innovative programs, actions and expand collaborations with institutions and schools both from inside and outside the country. It is true that one of the most important challenges that Greek society will face is the social integration of refugees. At the same time, however, there is a need to maintain its role in an evolving environment, to open up to the European and international horizon. Quality intercultural education is the goal and the school must reach its goal by placing greater emphasis on participatory processes and innovative learning processes. However, improving the administrative function is perhaps the best investment an organization can make, especially a school that wants to keep up with developments and become an important role model.
