With the completion of our project our goal was: For the students of the field of administration and economics, to practice in the promotion of medical tourism, in the organization of relevant tourist - medical packages and in the financial coverage through the insurance funds. For the students of the field of Health - Welfare and Wellness, to acquire opportunities to act in intercultural environments, to feel the peculiarities of the patients but also to suggest relevant destinations and to point out the dangers that lurk. For the students of the fields of Informatics and Electronics - Electrical to practice in the management of electronic medical records, in the knowledge of the privacy protocols, in the installation of teleconferencing systems between the medical team of the country of origin and the country of tourist destination. The program of activities included technical-professional visits, training courses, workshops and acquaintances with the workplace in order to gain practical experience using equipment or following techniques applied by professionals.
The employment and business action opportunities of the graduates of the 2nd Vocational High School of Evosmos in medical tourism are the framework of our plan. Medical tourism in the Mediterranean is an investment-focused field due to its comparative advantages. However, our students lack the necessary equipment to work and do business in Medical Tourism, while there are opportunities for Nurses in the Health Sector, for Tourism Business executives in the Economy and Administration Sector, but also for Technicians in the IT and Electronics - Electrical Sectors . We hope this gap has been filled by our plan.
