The city of Thessaloniki is the second largest city in Greece. So it is obvious that this is a city with many needs in the labor sector but also with a plethora of young people looking to cover them. Recent research has shown that, despite the economic crisis in our city, new jobs are constantly being created which are waiting to be filled by the most skilled professionals. The Public IEK Neapolis listens to the demands of the modern labor market and naturally recruits all available weapons to offer businesses the most highly trained professionals. The selection of students from the specialties of aesthetic and hairdressing art, computer and graphic design, as well as from the fields of electronic installations and those of gas and oil, is clear proof that the IEK is well aware of the most competitive fields of work during the current and future period. The objectives of the Institute with its participation in the program are multiple but can be summed up in two sub-objectives. Firstly, students of the institute will have the opportunity to work abroad and contact techniques and machines that probably have not yet come to Greece. Working in Europe's large companies, the trainees will have the opportunity to work under pressure but also to acquire great skills. Secondly, with the successful implementation of the program and the promotion of the subject in the local media and social media, companies will look for people in IEK to staff various departments and will certainly increase student enrollment in the new academic year. By participating in the Erasmus+ program and also by disseminating its results, benefits will accrue to the organization itself and to the local community.
In today's society, labor demands are increasing and jobs are unfortunately shrinking. This makes it imperative that young people who are now on the job search should have as many and as good qualifications as possible to be competitive in their industry. D. IEK Neapolis, within the school, is carrying out essential and highly efficient work in this direction, as he knows that education and the dictates of society need to be harmonized. With this aim, the institute participates in various European programs, such as Erasmus+ and the Leonardo Da Vinci program. We know very well that the participation of our students in the program and their internship in places outside Greece will provide them with all the necessary experience, covering the weaknesses and shortcomings of the Greek education system, as well as the areas selected for participation in the project Mobility is those to whom the country, although badly needed, does not offer the right opportunities for contact with new expertise. We firmly believe that with this project we will offer important resources to our students, for their future employment and awaken their entrepreneurial talent. The trainees of D.IEK Neapolis through their participation in Erasmus+ will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and use of English language and will learn specialized vocabulary. Alongside his contact with major European companies, they will be given the opportunity to see closely the operation of a large body and its requirements. Through the project, European citizens will feel themselves and they will put their own lid on the effort to eliminate differences within the European Union. In terms of staff and management of the school, participation in such a program will have numerous benefits, among which will be the promotion of the institute in the wider region and the attraction of more students and the upgrading of the existing curriculum
