Background

The necessity of the program arose from the fact that many new jobs will be created in the Supply Chain sector in the coming years in Greece. Initially, because Greece has already been put on the "radar" of large multinationals, with a strong presence in the field of logistics in recent years, as an example we mention the establishment of the companies "Cosco" and "DB Schenker" in Aspropyrgos. Secondly, because large investments were made in the port of Piraeus by the company "Cosco" with the creation of new infrastructures both in fixed assets and in technology, having opened the road of transport from Asia to Central Europe with Greece as a hub. And finally, because the new Suez Canal, has enabled two-way traffic and doubled the current daily sea freight capacity, as well as the handling of goods in the port of Piraeus. Then the pedagogical team of the program chose the city of Berlin to carry out the mobility, because Berlin is home to the largest companies in the field of Supply Chain, giant companies that operate all over the world and will provide additional added value to the participants.
