The projects we implement are part of a broader plan with the aim of acquiring knowledge and skills that respond to the modern work environment and also to the needs of this environment, especially in the era of the economic crisis. Student and staff mobility schemes introduce new study subjects that are not taught in the curricula of our specialties while complementing and supplementing it by providing a more comprehensive education. Thus, we design student mobility programs with an emphasis on digital skills, personal skills and the development of entrepreneurship skills which are related to each other and are the cohesive link that connects the different curricula of all specialties taught in the school. At the same time, we plan and implement teacher mobilities aimed at gaining experience in new teaching methods and equipping them with knowledge and skills related to other educational systems with the aim of adopting good practices.
The mobility project of 2019 entitled "Strengthening personal skills (soft skills) of students and Training of teachers in the Project Based Learning teaching model." was formed with the aim of training a total of 45 students of the 1st EPA.L. of Preveza with 6 accompanying teachers in 3 flows with destination countries Lithuania, Germany and Italy, as well as training of 15 teachers in a flow with destination country Spain. Non-cognitive and horizontal skills (soft skills) are the most important skills that a new entrant in labor market needs. Many times they are more important than the skills required to complete a job (hard skills). This finding together with what characterizes labor relations in today's era gave us the reason to design the present program. Regarding the training of teachers (staff) we considered that a teaching technique, in which we have not been trained and is not applied, PBL has the characteristics needed so that the teacher can apply innovative models centered on the student. This will benefit the students, the teachers themselves and the operation of our organization.
