It is undeniable that the modern and ultimate weapon nowadays could be described as propaganda, which is now widely used, shaping public opinion and directing it to any side. Its methods vary, and in most cases are not easily perceived. The theme and the needs addressed in this project were identified in the effort to control the propaganda function of social media as a tool of channeling political rhetoric, usually by populist factions, which are opposed to the identity of the European citizen. Specifically, the project entitled "Prop-@genda" studied the phobic phenomena that are developed in a political context on social media and at the same time created a promotional video on the importance of active participation of young people in decision-making processes in the EU, in order to disseminate ways to reduce the populist phenomenon in Europe and increase the principles that Erasmus+ stands for. The participants were 35 people in total and were mostly young people (18-25) who were aware of the practices often used by social media. The specific objectives that were carried out were: • The development of intercultural dialogue between people from countries where there is a visible problem of propaganda on social media (Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, and Sweden) • The breaking of prejudices and stereotypes related to the development of European societies that may affect young people in their everyday life. • To bring people into contact with non-formal learning methods and opportunities for tackling all types of social problems. • The further development and dissemination of the Erasmus+ programs by raising awareness of the wide range of subjects covered and bringing more and more young people into contact with each other. • The creation of a network between partners and participants in order to develop similar programs and to provide them with continuous training, which is necessary when it comes to social media.
