The objectives we set ourselves were: - Improving teachers’ language skills in the short and long term. - Improvement of the students’ linguistic and technological skills in the short and long term. - Consolidating the GEP project (Experimentation Group for Plurilingualism) for the continued and normalized use of English and French in the non linguistic subjects. - Improvement of the tools available for the treatment of diversity within an inclusive and individualized framework to adapt to the students’ needs. - Having technological and digital tools to implement in the lessons. - Improvement of personal and social skills.
Institut la Garrotxa has requested this school Erasmus project as a sending organization to improve its internationalization plan and meet its needs to improve the language skills of the entire educational community. We wanted to promote a continued use of English and French, mainly, in everyday situations of the educational center apart from the linguistic subjects, such as mathematics, technology, biology or music. In addition, we also looked for other educational spaces such as visits to other educational centers, reception of foreign students and/or teachers, foreign language exchanges or other events in the same center. Another need of the center was to know the European reality in terms of organization, methodology, educational programs, curricular, etc. from other reference countries such as Sweden, Germany and France. Knowing their educational systems, their way of organizing lessons, courses, levels, subjects, activities, etc. helped us to improve, modernize and innovate our center. And last but not least, we had the need to attend to diversity in the classroom, especially newcomers from other nationalities.
