Objectives

Our ultimate goals were to consolidate the modernisation agenda of our institution and to improve the qualification of the teaching staff, their foreign language skills, ICT and methodologies. With this project it was our intention to integrate interdisciplinary and project-based learning as a general working method. At the same time, we wanted to improve the educational offer and thus the competences of the students. To enhance the motivation of pupils and teachers was also one of our goals. Another goal was to strengthen the school coexistence programme, which deals with conflicts and promotes greater understanding and responsiveness to social, linguistic, and cultural diversity. In addition, one of our aims was to improve school management and leadership, as well as transparency and efficiency in managing Erasmus projects but also in incorporating these strategies into school management. We wanted Erasmus+ not to be an isolated option or resource but to integrate Erasmus+ into the life of the school, making our current momentum sustainable over time and a hallmark of the IES.

Background

One of our strategies from the last calls has been the internationalisation of our programs. This project intended to continue with the modernisation agenda and to make internationalisation a hallmark of the school. Some departments and teachers were already working on a project basis, having incorporated innovative tools in the classroom.Other teachers were interested in interdisciplinary project work, but many lacked strategies and training,as well as models from which to draw inspiration. For this reason,in addition to requesting training activities, for the 1st time,we applied for observation periods. With this project we aimed to consolidate and strengthen the seed that had been planted, and to meet the need for an interest in innovation.Furthermore,we wanted to incorporate organisational and classroom management structures. We also wanted to draw inspiration from other models of school coexistence management. We wanted European cooperation and mobility to be an integrated resource in the school, not a sporadic resource.Furthermore, we wished to continue improving the documentary and protocol management of Erasmus projects and to have more teachers involved in the management of these projects.
