Objectives

The objectives of the KA101 project "Learning from Europe, improving with Europe" were as follows: 1. To improve the development of mathematical and linguistic competence among the students at the school. 2. To learn about new methodologies and digital resources aimed at improving the teaching practice of the teaching staff and for their application in the classroom. 3. To learn new pedagogical, organisational, management and leadership methods that improve teaching practice and quality at the school. 4. To motivate teachers, and the educational community in general, towards knowledge and learning from other educational systems and towards professional training and improvement through European projects.

Background

After participating in former European Comenius programmes and in Erasmus programmes of a different type (KA2), the centre positively assessed the development of a KA101 project to improve the difficulties detected after carrying out a needs analysis. The general objective, the training of teachers through the observation in European centres of good practices related to the needs found and the objectives set. In this way, after the creation of a working team, a project was developed, based on the needs, setting objectives to be met and organising activities in four selected European centres, focused on the achievement of these objectives. Finally, a procedure for the selection of participants was developed, as well as a process for the evaluation and dissemination of the results obtained.
