Through the “Edumotion” project we have learned from other expert teachers in these disciplines and we have been able to share needs or concerns in order to develop strategies in our classrooms for the emotional and psychological well-being of our students. Strengthening the following objectives: -Know elements and instruments that allow us to implement Emotional Intelligence as a teaching method. Through strategies, methodologies and tools for good emotional management. -Learn and understand the different resources, strategies or tools to put into practice emotional literacy, as well as the notions of Neuroscience that help to improve the performance of the brain when it comes to understanding the different learning and for healthy emotional management. -To influence the individuality of people, the potential of each of the students, thanks to educational coaching. -To promote creativity through art to help students express their feelings and emotions. - Make exchanges of pedagogical training and knowledge that help us grow and learn how they work in other countries in terms of Neuroscience and Emotional Intelligence in educational contexts.
Why have you requested this project? The Col·legi Sant Roc, has been determined to offer a school that meets the needs of our students and their families. As a consequence, we consider that teacher training is essential to establish the appropriate environments and spaces, as well as to know and implement different educational strategies. That is why we present the Education & Emotion project: feeling to learn, learning to feel, "EduMOTION",which is related to our new Center Strategic Plan that reaches the period 2018-2021. This Plan contemplates changes in the needs of our students, as well as a new use of innovative methodologies and advances in Neuroscience and Emotional Intelligence. Currently, we work on Emotional Intelligence at some levels in a curricular way through projects and in others in a transversal way. The Tutorial Action Plan and the School Accompaniment Program are some examples. Hence our intention to gain access to further training in the different aspects of working in these two fields, by attending the different courses that we have planned and carried out within the Erasmus + program.
