With this project, we intended to familiarize the teaching team of the center with the development of methodologies that have new technologies as a key axis, in order for teachers to know and promote the use of applications, promoting the digital competence of the teachers and the students. In addition, it was intended to develop the linguistic skills of the participants to be able to carry out the sessions more confidently, producing quality learning results. In this way, the participants become digital citizens who use these new technologies to make students aware of making good use of electronic devices. This is because many students know how to use these devices but do not relate them to the learning tasks. Another aspect of interest is the fact of the knowledge of the European heritage, acquiring skills and strategies of other parts of the European continent that can be useful for the teaching of each participant. Finally, one of the key objectives was to create links with other teachers around the European Union to facilitate the creation of future networks for joint work.
This project aims to address issues related to the use of new technologies in the classroom. Nowadays we live in a society where digitization is continuously present. That's why we consider that a good option to acquire strategies and use active methodologies in the classroom would be to train some teachers from the school in this regard. In addition, we believe that thanks to this type of methodologies the work is much more individualized and all students can be attended in a more appropriate way, since they are able to work at their own pace, to acquire autonomy and a critical sense and, in addition, to do a responsible use of new technologies. In our center we have electronic devices to be able to carry out activities with the use of computers or tablets, but many times the teachers found themselves without resources or training to be able to use them, and, therefore, they chose not to use them. The problem therefore was that, when students leave school to go to high school, many don't know the basic tools to work digitally. Thus, one of the main objectives we have is to encourage the teaching team to use new technologies.
