The objectives set from the beginning of the project are encompassed in diferent areas: 1. Improving the linguistic competence of teachers and CLIL methodology: in 2020, a new school language plan was approved that guarantees a minimum percentage of subjects in Spanish, Valencian and English. The co-official languages are not a problem, but the ability to teach in a foreign language does require training support, both in English proficiency and in CLIL methodology. 2. Acquisition of new teaching tools and methods: Our school has an experienced teaching staff, however it is necessary to offer them the possibility of updating their work through new teaching tools and methods, as well as giving them the opportunity to share experience with other teachers from other countries, thus improving the quality of education in a cooperative way. 3. To improve and increase co-operative work among teachers regarding coexistence and equality in our educational community. 4. Stabilisation of the European dimension in our school: The pandemic has changed us and temporarily paralysed international actions. We are currently continuing to strengthen links with European schools.
Our school is a highly international school with a strong socio-cultural as well as linguistic awareness. Our students can study English, French and German as LE1 and LE2. We have recently approved and implemented the school's linguistic plan with which there is a minimum percentage of subjects taught in English, leaving open the option of teaching other foreign languages. We also have a long experience with exchanges with Germany, France, Italy and Holland together with educational innovation projects. Another of the characteristics of our school is the approach of our educational community towards tolerance, equality, diversity and respect, however we detected a lack of training on the part of the teaching staff to work better on a daily basis, so we decided to focus our project in that direction. Finally, the need to update new tools and methodologies to improve the quality of education in our classrooms is always present, we are aware of the importance of continuous training of our teachers.
