Objectives

By developing this project we wanted to achieve the following objectives: - To establish and give continuity to the collaborative relationship already initiated with some international centres, in order to share good teaching practices and promote student and teacher mobility in both directions. - To build new alliances with other centres with similar educational interests, in order to continue promoting the mobility of students and teaching staff, as well as the exchange of good practices through new cooperation projects. - Contribute to the design and development of strategies to promote well-being and happiness in the centre, both for students and teachers, with the aim of generating inclusive spaces of coexistence that favour the development of the talents and abilities of each person. - To gain first-hand knowledge of new educational experiences and methodologies that lead to this end, in order to carry out a comparative analysis of the Florida way of doing things and to integrate any improvements that are identified. - To promote the school's multilingual project, making visible among the teaching staff and the educational community the importance of improving their own and the pupils' linguistic competences. - To know and analyse the educational support measures in the host countries which, from an inclusive perspective, are aimed at reducing failure and early school leaving and try to transfer to our reality those which represent an improvement with respect to the support we are giving. - To learn about the work carried out in different areas in education centres and to study the improvements that we can implement in our centre. - To know the practice of different centres in terms of communication with families and internal communication, trying to apply improvements that contribute to the strategic objectives. - To analyse how the process of obtaining feedback from students and families is carried out in other centres, in order to improve our own. - To study how European centres collaborate with other entities and groups in their environment. - To learn new processes, methodologies and tools to contribute to the well-being (emotional, physical, transcendence) of their students, from different perspectives (methodological, inclusive measures, healthy living habits, spatial, temporal organisation, coexistence, etc.).

Background

FLORIDA CENTRE DE FORMACIÓ (https://www.florida.es/es) is a worker cooperative located in Catarroja - Valencia (Spain), which has 45 years of experience in the education sector, offering lifelong learning. It is part of GRUPO EDUCATIVO FLORIDA (FLORIDA GROUP), made up of Florida Centre de Formació (FLORIDA), Ninos Escoles Infantils and Colegio Academia Júcar (XÚQUER). Florida Secondary School "FLORIDA SECUNDÀRIA" (http://www.floridasecundaria.es/) took its first international steps in the 1998-1999 academic year, through an exchange of secondary school students with a French school. Since then there has been a notable growth in international activity (exchanges, European projects in different programmes...) which have given the school an important international and multicultural dimension. This project was requested on the basis of a needs analysis which showed the interest of Florida Secondary teachers in improving the school climate, the motivation of pupils and the way in which they are accompanied in their formative development and personal growth. All these concerns were included in the school's strategic plan for the period 2017-2019. With the mobility and structured training activities funded through this project, Florida aimed to contribute to the achievement of the strategic objectives set out, especially in the following areas of activity: - To increase the competences of the teaching staff to improve the motivation and well-being of the students in the school, through the knowledge of good practices and the use of pedagogical tools and emotional intelligence, from an inclusive perspective, fostering individual talents and fighting against early school leaving. - To improve the linguistic and cultural competences of the teaching staff. - To increase the international dimension of the school.
