Teachers understand that they are responsible for providing their students with the tools that will contribute to their integral development, that we are living in a time of change, where the resources they used before are no longer suitable for providing effective responses to the new demands of the global society. The offshoring of work, the knowledge of Europe and the principles of inclusion, mobility and digitalisation are already a fact, so they were willing to collaborate to achieve common goals and overcome the obstacle of the language barrier. The members of the consortium share their need to: - Learn about new methods of using new technologies, robotics and STEM, as well as different education systems and how they apply these methodologies. - Gain knowledge about the current best practices to bridge technology-related gaps and grant access to ICT. - Analyse didactic units designed to convey knowledge of Europe. - Deepen their knowledge of the English language. - Establish links with people from other countries. In addition all schools show interest in participating in Erasmus+ projects coordinated by CFR Ferrol.
The consortium organised by CFR Ferrol and formed by the following schools: CPI A Xunqueira, IES Fene, IES Cabo Ortegal, IES Ortigueira and IES Sofía Casanova aimed to implement a European Development Plan (EDP) which was approved by their teaching staff. The effort made to reduce the gaps and try to equalise their possibilities through the implementation of visible projects and technologies in the classroom is the element of cohesion shared by all of them, as well as the motivation of their management teams, their staff and their educational communities, with a view to their internationalisation, which encourages their teaching staff to carry out training activities in the EU that will enable them to: -improve their educational projects; -improve professional competences; -encourage the improvement of the competences of other professionals in the school; -optimise the teaching-learning process of the students, as a result of the transfer of what has been learnt in the project. The training activities chosen are part of the educational project and respond to the needs of the schools, all of which show great interest in STEM subjects as well as European citizenship, with a main focus on students and the quality of teaching.
