Objectives

The objectives of the project were: - Training teachers to be able to promote language learning and linguistic diversity among students. Acquire new methodologies, new techniques and improve their linguistic competence. - Training teachers and members of the management team to be able to design new formulas and new compensatory education programs that make it possible to further promote equity and inclusion among students and reduce school failure rates. - Training the management team and members of the guidance department in programs to promote the inclusion of all our students. - Using all the information received, being able to transmit to the entire educational community the importance of the internationalisation of the centre and the promotion of the European dimension

Background

We applied for the project as part of our strategic plan for teacher training, to improve their skills and be able to respond to the needs of IES Albal detected in the areas of multilingualism (the need to train teachers to have a good competence in the use of different European languages and good command of methodologies to promote their learning, in our case of English, French and German), inclusive education (need to create different programs and measures so that all students find an answer to their needs), new methodologies (need to continue putting faith in our school as an innovative center) and digital competence (need to improve the digital competences of the teaching staff, as we'd like to implement new methodologies). It was considered that the training of teachers in these four areas would not only allow us to meet the needs, but would also contribute to carry on modernising and internationalising our centre.
