Background

This project arose from the need that existed in our school to improve the competence in linguistic communication of our students. After the study carried out through a test to detect the level of competence in linguistic communication and after having received the results of the diagnostic tests from the Junta de Andalucía that our students carried out, we observed the deficiency that this presented with respect to this competence. In these results, it has been detected that our school was below the average. Therefore, after a deep process of reflection, the teaching staff agreed on the need to implement innovative methodologies in all areas, emphasizing the development of competence in linguistic communication of our students; in training in new learning techniques such as project-based learning, CLIL methodology, CLIL and new technologies that would awaken the interest of our students to learn; as well as the need to implement and work on reading in all areas through an innovative, motivating reading plan, with enjoyable and playful activities outside the traditional teaching-learning model.
