Ultimately, the ultimate goal of this project is to provide our students with a quality education where diversity is a source of wealth and improve the school experience of our students at IES Serra d'Irta.
The IES Serra d’Irta is a public school with ESO, Baccalaureate and training cycles. The center was made up of 48 teachers and 301 students at the time of writing this project, however it had passed 70 teachers and 427 students at the time of writing this report. Approximately a quarter of the students are of foreign origin, predominantly those from Morocco. It is also characteristic that each year we welcome a large number of migrant students who do not know any of the official languages. Our school is therefore the first door to Europe for many families. The Management Team detects the strengths and evaluates the main educational needs of the center, based on which it has established the teacher training needs. In addition, it monitors the evolution of teaching quality indicators and the evolution of school failure. In accordance with these evaluations, two main lines of action were defined: training actions within the Training, Innovation and Resources Center for Teachers and actions within Erasmus + projects such as KA1 but also through KA2 projects in their Training Activities.
