Carrying out the project we wanted to achieve: 1) improve the skills of the teaching staff to attend to the cultural, social and linguistic diversity of the students; 2) improve the skills and abilities of coordination and management of the center, 3) promote the formal recognition of skills and competencies acquired as part of professional development; 4) enable the development of the international dimension of the center; 5) enhance the image of our center in the nearby territory through the dissemination abroad of the project carried out. For this reason, the objectives focused on: a) knowing other methodologies or strategies for attention to diversity and inclusion; b) make the faculty aware of the importance of attention to student diversity in all classes, c) increase the number of teachers in European project teams and in the good practices of multilingualism in the classroom (CLIL). The aim was to improve the skills of the faculty in preparing the most appropriate content possible for each type of student in each subject and thus ensure that no student was demotivated. This would improve classroom programming and achieve a truly inclusive education.
After the publication in the DOGC of Decree 150/2017 on educational attention to students within the framework of an inclusive educational system and the Program to promote internationalization "Learn and interact in a global context" (ENS/2336/2018), it was saw the need to improve teacher training in the areas of inclusion, attention to diversity and participation in international projects. Train the faculty to facilitate the integration of all types of students: SEN, immigrants, students with learning difficulties, at risk of dropping out of school and social exclusion, etc. It was considered a priority for the implementation of projects, strategies and methodologies that would allow us to serve all students in the ordinary classroom. Likewise, the acquisition of global competence understood as the ability to examine issues of a local, global and intercultural nature, understanding and appreciating the points of view and worldviews of others, engaging in open, appropriate and effective interactions with people from different cultures and actively contributing to the collective well-being and sustainable development of today's societies, has become a first order necessity.
