Objectives

The fundamental reason why we want to participate in this project is to open up the center to new forms of teaching, methodologies and learning strategies, based on improving the quality of our center and, above all, improving results. We want to know how other educational systems approach our day-to-day teaching practice and provide solutions to the needs raised in our Project. Taking into account all of the above, we believe that in order to improve the quality of our teaching, it is important to internationalize the teaching staff of our Senate. • Improve Linguistic Competence of the first and second language through New Methodologies based on cooperative work, oral expression and ICT. • Delve into new experiences and strategies for Healthy Living habits, to improve the comprehensive quality of life of students. • Improve the Center's Management, Leadership and Group Cohesion to optimize resources and improve the quality of our teaching. • Improve and put into practice Alternative Methodologies that facilitate the inclusion of students with Special Educational Needs.

Background

The Juan XXIII Infant and Primary School is located in a rural town called Caniles, north of Granada. The school has a high percentage of families that are not very involved in the life of the center and in the teaching-learning process of their children. The evolution of the center each year has been declining, since the families that can access a higher academic education emigrate to another type of locality, with families with an increasingly lower sociocultural level remaining in the village. It is the only nursery and primary school in the town attached to the only secondary school that is bilingual. In the field of organization and management of the center we have a new Director who wants to improve his leadership, organization and cohesion. We want to deepen and expand the healthy lifestyle habits of students, in addition to trying to delve into values and emotions as an integral part of a full and healthy life. The Ministry of Education has imposed an L3 in our centers, for which we consider it essential to complete the training of our teachers with an internship to improve the results of the students in English and French.
