After analyzing the needs of our institution, the Management Team of IES Los Cerros set the following objectives: - Promote mobility opportunities for our students and teachers by participating in international programs that allow us to improve key skills in education and training. - Promote the improvement of English by committing to a bilingual education model at all educational stages, and the teaching of both European and international languages such as Chinese. - Commit to the international dimension of education and training, sharing examples of good practice in the field of training with other educational centers at European level. For this we use web tools such as Etwinning or School Gateway. - Promote knowledge of other European and world cultures to foster the values of tolerance and respect. - Promote equity and inclusion by facilitating access for participants who come from disadvantaged backgrounds and have fewer opportunities, paying special attention to students with educational needs. - Promote and improve certification tools that validate and add value to experiences of a European nature.
This project is framed within the context of the internationalization policy of our center, a fundamental tool for improving the quality of teaching at all educational stages, improving the skills of students and teachers. The project aims to promote a permanent learning process among our teachers, both in terms of theoretical and practical knowledge as well as teaching methods and pedagogical skills, especially from the linguistic point of view and the use of new technologies. The request arose from the detection of different needs: - The need to adopt and develop new methodologies: those that actively include the role of students. - Integration of new technologies: take advantage of the positive results that ICTs produce in students and their performance. - Reduction of absenteeism: inclusion plans and adaptation of classes for this type of student so that all students find motivation. - Language skills: in a bilingual center, an adequate knowledge of languages by the faculty. - Knowledge update: tool to motivate teachers to continue training to improve their practice.
