Our ultimate objective is the improvement of the quality of teaching in bilingual branches as well as the way they work, inasmuch as there should be a link between the CLIL approach of primary and high schools of the same areas. This objective was formulated from a three-fold approach: 1) strengthen and make the most of collaboration among schools in the Ordes area in order to achieve a common CLIL approach; 2) improve training and competences of teachers who either teach their subject in English or wish to do so in the future; and 3) promote the internationalization of schools through Erasmus+ and eTwinning in order to provide opportunities for students to practise English in authentic contexts with other students.
On the one hand, because we possess the CAPABILITIES needed to lead this consortium, given the relationship that CAFI has with the schools involved. This is mainly due to the varied profiles of the advisors (they are actually teachers of different subjects from different educational levels); and to the specific training received. Also, CAFI has EXPERIENCE in the four roles associated to international programmes: applicant, participant, partner and leader. Besides, since we participate in the design and implementation of the Yearly Training Plan for teachers, we have detailed knowledge of the objectives and measurable indicators of performance to ensure impact on the classroom. From that global vision of teacher training, we have activated all the necessary resources to design objectives and ensure they are reached. The ultimate GOAL was the improvement of teaching-learning processes in bilingual branches and the internationalization of the schools involved.
