Objectives

By achieving these objectives, we have managed to satisfy some of the greatest needs of our educational organization: -To solidify lasting bonds with other schools for the purpose of cooperating in future European projects -To create a lasting change in our education community via the internationalization of our school. -To successfully introduce ICT tools into the classroom in order to create an environment of total inclusion for all of our students -To improve English language skills whilst becoming acquainted with the educational systems of other European countries and to learn about their cultures -To improve educational and methodology practices in the field of inclusion for the students with special educational needs -To obtain a good level of inclusion for the entire educational community: We all Belong! -To ensure that all of our students and staff operate in a creative and natural way, without prejudice and social and cultural barriers

Background

The project was born from our teacher’s desire to improve their ICT competences, their English language skills and to develop inclusive classroom methodologies. It was highly important for our organization to share educational experiences and practices at a European level to enrich our school life and the entire educational community. We needed to enhance ourselves with projects that intended to contribute to the improvement of the quality of teaching in our organization. The possibility of visiting other European organizations and training together with European peers increased the possibilities of upgrading our daily teaching practice. We promote inclusion in a multicultural educational environment. For this reason, we are faced with very specific needs in improving the methodology and attention to diversity. We also have a specialized classroom for students diagnosed with Autism, called CYL (Communication and Language), which handles 8 students. Knowing the diversity of other classrooms in European organizations, their methodologies or their use of technology seemed essential to us to share experiences and promote the inclusion of all.
