This project has pursued the following goals and objectives: Goal 1.- To know other educational systems that are more updated in methodology, inclusive education,... and where very good results are obtained. (Obj.1 To improve the quality and effectiveness of education and lifelong learning, with inclusive education, eliminating social differences, and attending to diversity). ( Obj. 2 To promote equality, social cohesion and active citizenship, fostering a culture of human values based on respect and creating environmental awareness). Goal 2.- To learn about the latest ICT (Information and Communication Technologies), LKT (Learning and Knowledge Technologies) and TEPs (Technologies for Empowerment and Participation). (Obj.3 Encourage the use of new methodologies. Developing teachers' digital competences) Goal 3.- To learn about other methodologies and techniques, favouring creativity and entrepreneurship and, above all, improving our own linguistic competences. (Obj.4 Encourage the learning of languages, facilitating mobility). (Obj.5 Promote creativity and innovation, favouring entrepreneurship).
According to information received from the Andalusian Agency for Educational Evaluation, the school drop-out rate in recent years is worrying, with an average of 2.60% and 2.83% absenteeism, despite the fact that this is compulsory education. And although 91% go on to higher education in the first year, approximately 20% do not complete their baccalaureate and/or vocational training. Our students need to achieve the key competences that will help them to pass each stage of their education, making them aware of the importance of continuous training and lifelong learning in order to be able to enter the labour market. And, in addition to increasing their motivation through new and innovative methodologies, it is also very important to help them develop their digital and linguistic skills in at least two foreign languages. In our case: English and French. In order to address this situation and improve our teachers' skills so that students are more motivated to learn and the dropout rate is reduced, this project has been requested to improve the teachers' fluency in English and to help us learn about new methodologies and be in contact with other cultures.
