Comenius Centre Educatiu is an educational institution specialized in the inclusion of students with special needs. For us, cooperation and methodological innovation are essential tools to develop students' creativity and motivation. We need to increase the promotion of new technologies, we are in a process of a methodological change. The main objective of the project has been to contribute to becoming an innovative center that puts into practice methodologies that promote motivation and autonomous learning of students, to prevent school dropout as well as favoring the inclusion of people with motor disabilities. New methodologies, such as the Montessori methodology, gamification, project-based learning, and cooperative and situated learning, allow us to train autonomous citizens. And the continuous training of our staff makes easier to share democratic European values with our students. This is a way of motivating our teaching and non-teaching staff, since the exchange of good practices and learning experiences in European centers serve to observe new methodological approaches.
Juan Comenius Cooperativa Valenciana has been immersed in its internationalization plan since 2007. The long-term objective is to promote Europeanization at all educational levels in the educational institution. The objective during the 2014-2020 Strategic Plan, was in 2015 with the creation of an International Department, in which all the educational levels of the center are present (Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary, Baccalaureate and Vocational Training). From this department, the visions and opinions of the different teaching staff meetings were collected and, after analyzing the reality of our educational center, we detected the needs and long-term objectives in the stages covered by this project (Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary, Baccalaureate) and on them we request the project (PROMOTE EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION, STRENGTHEN INCLUSION, PREVENT SCHOOL DROPOUT AND INTENSIFY THE INTERNATIONALIZATION of the educational community).
